Carolle Bénitah 1965-2024

Carolle Bénitah  is a french visual artist who worked in the fashion industry for 15 years before turning to photography and art in 2001. Working with old family photographs, she additionally incorporates ink drawings, embroidery, and beading onto the photos creating more complex and layered works. Through her work Bénitah explores family, memory, and the passage of time.
